Former Metropolitan Tychikos vacates Paphos Metropolis Residence

The transition process in the Metropolis of Paphos has entered a new phase as former Metropolitan Tychikos vacated his residence within the premises of the Holy Metropolis of Paphos on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
According to ecclesiastical sources, Tychikos removed all of his personal belongings from the small apartment where he had been residing and departed in accordance with arrangements made ahead of the assumption of duties by the newly elected Metropolitan of Paphos, Archimandrite Gregorios Ioannidis. His departure is regarded as another step in the preparations for the enthronement of the new Metropolitan, which is scheduled to take place on June 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Metropolitan Church of Saint Theodore in Paphos.
Despite leaving the Metropolis premises, Tychikos has not yet publicly announced where he intends to reside in the coming period. The Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus has reportedly presented him with three possible options.
The first and most likely option, according to church circles, is for him to relocate…
