Evening of testimony from Christians in the Holy Land brings heartfelt stories

The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Geneva Assembly of Churches organised an evening of testimonies in Geneva on 1 October. The special event provide a direct platform for those on the ground who are holding fast to hope and building peace in their daily lives.

As the Holy Land goes through one of the darkest periods in its history, the local Christian community feels abandoned by the international community. Faced with widespread destruction and forced displacement, the local churches have issued an appeal: to see reality as it is experienced, beyond diplomatic and media filters.
