Bishop Ieronim of Dacia Felix served on Wednesday, together with the Serbian Metropolitan Lukijan of Hungary and Administrator of Timișoara, at the consecration of the "Transfiguration of God" Church in Szentendre, Hungary.
The Holy Liturgy was performed on the occasion of the holiday celebrated in the Serbian Orthodox Church according to the unrevised Julian calendar.
The Most Reverend Father Lukijan presented the Transfiguration as a discovery of the divinity of the Savior Jesus Christ and, at the same time, as a call addressed to every Christian to renew his life through communion with God.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, the traditional ceremony of cutting the cake was performed. His Eminence thanked Bishop Ieronim for the joint service and highlighted the pastoral activity carried out by the diocese in the Romanian Orthodox communities in the Republic of Serbia and the steady collaboration between the two neighboring dioceses.
The Most Reverend Father Ieronim highlighted the pastoral ministry of Metropolitan Lukijan, recalling his concern for the clergy and faithful, as well as his concern for the development of church life and the preservation of the spiritual and material heritage of the diocese.…
