The Diocesan Council discussed current issues of church lifetranslated

On August 31, the Diocesan Council was held at the Chelyabinsk Diocesan Administration, headed by Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass. Present were the secretary of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Archpriest Igor Shestakov, deans and heads of diocesan departments. The council participants discussed bringing the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimythous to Chelyabinsk. The shrine will be in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ from September 9 to 11. Metropolitan Alexy emphasized the importance of this event for the Southern Urals. In October, the Chelyabinsk Metropolis will host the celebration of the Council of South Ural Saints. During the Diocesan Council, the date of the celebration was determined - Sunday, October 11. On this day there will be a citywide religious procession and Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. Participants of the Diocesan Council also discussed a number of issues related to the formation of new parishes and the work of basic training courses in the field of theology for monastics of the Chelyabinsk Metropolis.
