His Eminence celebrated the All-Night Vigil on the eve of the day of remembrance of the Supreme Apostles Peter and Paultranslated

On the evening of July 11, on the eve of the 6th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the glorious and all-validated chief apostles Peter and Paul, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary led the service of the All-Night Vigil in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. The Ruling Bishop was served by a sacristan and a cathedral clergyman. During Great Vespers, His Eminence Vladyka read the proverbs prescribed by the Church Rules on the days of remembrance of the holy apostles. Unlike most holidays, when Old Testament readings are read, in memory of the apostles the Church offers New Testament proverbs. After reading the Holy Gospel, Archbishop Sava addressed the clergy and numerous parishioners with an archpastoral word, recalling the spiritual feat of the supreme apostles Peter and Paul. The Bishop noted that, despite human weaknesses - the denial of the Apostle Peter and the previous persecution of Saul against the Church of Christ - sincere repentance, faith and complete devotion to the Lord made them great preachers of the Gospel, pillars of the Church and examples of true Christian service. Then His Eminence anointed the clergy and laity with blessed oil.
