His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the 11th Sunday after Pentecosttranslated

On August 16, the 11th Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Tiraspol. His Eminence was served by the clergyman and clergy of the cathedral. On this festive Sunday, numerous parishioners gathered under the arches of the main church of the diocese to take part in the Divine Liturgy, offer prayers to the Lord and partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. During the service, an excerpt from the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 18:23–35) was read, in which the Lord Jesus Christ tells the parable of an unmerciful debtor. In it, the Savior likens the Kingdom of Heaven to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. One of them, who found himself owing a huge amount, received complete forgiveness from the master, but he himself did not want to forgive his debtor a relatively small debt. After the service, an instructive word was delivered on the spiritual meaning of the Gospel parable.

The attention of those gathered was drawn to the need to forgive others, since each person himself needs the mercy and forgiveness of God. Christian forgiveness is inextricably linked with the words of prayer...
