With the blessing of Archbishop Lukian of Blagoveshchensk and Tyndinsk, Hieromonk Luke (Bulyukin) performed the rite of consecration of the neonatal department of the Blagoveshchensk City Clinical Hospital.

Addressing medical workers, Father Luka noted the special importance of the early neonatal period and thanked the department staff for their dedicated work, care for the youngest patients and high professionalism.

The priest wished the doctors good health, mental and physical strength, God's help and the prayerful protection of St. Stylian of Paphlagonia, the heavenly patron of children. He emphasized that love for one’s work, mutual support in the team and attentive attitude towards each child help not only to serve with dignity, but also to maintain joy from one’s work.

As a gift to the department, Hieromonk Luke gave the icon of the Mother of God “The Word became Flesh” (Albazinskaya) as a blessing to the medical staff, newborns and their parents.

After the consecration ceremony, a conversation took place with the department staff about faith and Orthodox traditions.

Visiting medical institutions, spiritual support for patients and medical staff are part of missionary work...
