DOM Annual Liturgical Practicum Announced

BURR RIDGE, IL [DOM] – The Diocese of the Midwest is hosting a Liturgical Practicum October 30 – November 1, 2026 in Chicago, IL. at  Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 6980 S. County Line Rd., Burr Ridge, IL 60527 . This practicum is open to anyone in the diocese wanting to experience practical, hands-on training and instruction on serving the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

The program is open to all levels (Deacons, Subdeacons, Servers), to be prepared for Archpastoral visits to their parishes.  Next year, we will focus on the Hierarchal Vigil and Hierarchical Presanctified services.

The Cost: $175/person will include all meals. Transportation and Lodging not included – participants are responsible for their own. Lodging is available at a nearby hotel, which is within easy walking distance from Sts. Peter and Paul. Hampton Inn & Suites,  100 Harvester Dr., Burr Ridge, IL 60527

Tentative Agenda: Friday October 30  arrival Vespers @ Sts. Peter and Paul in Burr Ridge 5-6pm.

Dinner:  6-7pm Session I: 7-9pm

Saturday October 31 morning [field trip!]:  Hierarchical Divine Liturgy @ Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chicago for the Feast of St. John Kochurov. Lunch TBD…
