Deacon Dmitry Yatsenko held a conversation at the Molodechno Music College about the dangers of addictionstranslated

September 11, 2026 at the Molodechno State Music College named after M.K. Oginsky, a meeting of students took place with the cleric of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Molodechno, Deacon Dmitry Yatsenko.
During a conversation dedicated to the prevention of suicidal behavior and the Day of Sobriety, which coincides with the Beheading of John the Baptist, Deacon Dmitry emphasized the importance of the concept of “meaning of life.”
Particular attention was paid to the prevention of bad habits, alcoholism, smoking, and drug addiction. The clergyman outlined the gospel story of the death of St. John the Baptist, recalling that the drunkenness, debauchery and cruelty of King Herod led to the execution of the prophet.
Deacon Dmitry also shared useful tips and gave examples of life situations that are relevant to young people.
Students listened with sincere interest, asked questions, and actively participated in the conversation.
