The children's and youth choir "Radost" performed at a concert in honor of the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

On May 24, 2026, in Elista’s Victory Park, next to the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius under construction, a festive concert “Common Roots - Common Destiny” took place as part of the Forum of Russian Culture, dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture. The program featured the exemplary children's and youth choir "Joy" of the Sunday school of the Kazan Cathedral. The team, led by Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kalmykia Marina Grishchenko, performed spiritual and folk works. Earlier on the same day, after the Divine Liturgy, the group also presented their performance on the square near the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius, which is under construction. The concert was organized by the Assembly of the Peoples of Kalmykia together with the Administration of the city of Elista. It was attended by creative groups, representatives of the public, the clergy, as well as residents and guests of the capital of the republic.
