Day of Knowledge in the deaneries of the Tara diocesetranslated

On September 1, 2026, the clergy of the Tara diocese took their traditional part in festive assemblies dedicated to the beginning of the school year in schools in the canonical territory of the diocese.

The priests of the deaneries, on behalf of His Eminence Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, cordially congratulated teachers, students and their parents on the beginning of a new educational path. In the pastoral parting words there were wishes for success in the comprehension of sciences, strength of strength, patience and God's unfailing help in labor, as well as spiritual growth and preservation of faith in the hearts.

Nice to see the clergy out at the school lines again this year. The bit about wishing the children "spiritual growth and keeping the faith in their hearts" really stood out – that’s what lasts long after the textbooks are closed. Our parish does something similar with the local primary, though it’s usually just a short word after the bell.
