Memorial Day of St. ap. Peter and Paul in the Elias Church in Koltushitranslated

July 12, 2026 · 1 min read

On July 12, on the day of remembrance of the holy chief apostles Peter and Paul, a festive service was held in the Ilyinsky Church in the city of Koltushi, Kudrovsky deanery. This day marks the end of Peter's Fast and is one of the main holidays in the church calendar.

The solemn Divine Liturgy brought together many parishioners, united by common prayer. The celebration continued with a concert and a shared meal on the parish grounds.

The Holy Apostles Peter and Paul are the two main preachers of Christianity, whom the Church calls supreme for their work in spreading the faith. Different in origin and life path, they showed an example of indestructible perseverance and love for God.

Through the prayers of the holy apostles, may the Lord strengthen each of us in faith, peace and good health.
