The Romanian community in Venezia Mestre, Italy, acquired its own place of worship.

The documents were signed on Friday, marking a special moment for the faithful of the "Holy Martyr Agata" Parish.

The purchase of the building represents the culmination of an effort that began in 2023, when the community was forced to leave the old place.

After moving to the new space, the community, together with parish priest Dragoș-Ilie Petean, carried out the necessary works to set it up for service, while also preparing the steps that led to the purchase of the building located on via Giustizia 4, in Venezia Mestre.

The faithful thanked God for the completion of this project and raised prayers to the patroness of the place of worship: "We raise prayers to the Holy Martyr Agata because she interceded for everything for the benefit of our parish community."

The parish was established on February 1, 2021. The decision was taken during the working session of January 30, 2021, when the community of Mestre was detached from the Parish of "Saint Lucia" in Venezia and organized as an independent parish. Also then, Father Dragoș-Ilie Petean was...
