Next, the hierarch consecrated the saint's memorial cell within the monastery.

The saint was "a light of Bucharest, a clergyman and an apostle of our Capital, who warmed and enlightened the souls, hearts and minds of so many people from all categories, from the most refined intellectuals to simple people from businesses or peasants who came to Bucharest to receive from Father Sofian a word of strength, release from sins and blessing", said the patriarchal vicar bishop.
