Chelyabinsk will welcome the relics of the blessed Matrona of Moscowtranslated

With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass, from September 18 to 29, 2026, in the St. Simeon Cathedral of Chelyabinsk there will be an ark with part of the relics of the blessed old lady Matrona of Moscow. The shrine will be delivered from the Tula diocese - from the saint’s homeland. Blessed Matrona of Moscow is one of the most revered saints of the 20th century in our country. They turn to her with prayers for health, family, the birth of children and help in difficult circumstances. During her lifetime, the old woman, despite her blindness, had the gift of insight and helped people. The meeting of the relics of the blessed Matrona of Moscow will take place on Friday, September 18 at 9:00 in the St. Simeon Cathedral. From September 18 to 29, the relics will be available for veneration in the cathedral from 8:00 to 20:00. Prayers will be held in the church with the reading of the akathist.
