Diaconia Mission maternal center, 15th anniversary: Almost 240 mothers with children were supportedtranslated

The Maternal Center "In the arms of the mother" of the "Diaconia" Social Mission from the Republic of Moldova celebrated its 15th anniversary on Wednesday. During this period, 238 mother-child couples benefited from accommodation, assistance and support to overcome crisis situations.

People who arrive at the assistance unit face problems such as homelessness, financial difficulties, abusive relationships, family conflicts or the absence of a support network.

Depending on the needs of each family, the team offers social assistance and support to find solutions to continue living together.

"During this period, the Maternal Center team was with mothers and children - to listen, support, protect and encourage", said Mihaela Belei, coordinator of the Family-Child Department.

The representative of the center highlighted the spiritual dimension of the institution's mission: "Virgin Mary being the protector of the Center and motherhood. She guides us and reminds us every day of a mother's boundless love for her baby and the power to love, protect and move forward even when the road is difficult."
