Celebration at the Patriarchal Skete of Saint Spyridon of Halki in Commemoration of the Saint’s Miracle

On the occasion of the commemoration of the miracle of the healing of a blind man by Saint Spyridon, the Patriarchal Skete of Saint Spyridon of Halki will host the celebration of the Festal Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the coming Monday, the 13th of the month.

The Divine Liturgy, during which the service of Artoklasia (the blessing of bread) will also be offered, will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be presided over by Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos.

Following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a reception will be held in the courtyard of the Skete.

On the evening before the feast, at 6:00 p.m., the Great Vespers service of the feast will be celebrated, with His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos presiding.

For the convenience of pilgrims, the following boat schedules are announced:

From Kabataş: 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:05 a.m.

From Bostancı: 7:10 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m.

I will try to go to vespers on Monday night. I am interested in how exactly the Artoclasia will be held after the liturgy, I have never been to this hermitage.

I will try to go to Mass on Monday morning. The boat from Kabataş at 8:00 seems convenient. The Artoclasia after Liturgy is something I always like, I would be happy to see it there as well.

You will do well Antonis, the boat at 8:00 from Kabataş also suits me when I went last year. Artoklasia there is simple and nice, like in the old days. Will you be with a group or alone?

I will probably go to the liturgy on Monday morning, the boat from Kabataş at 8:00 suits me. I saw Artoklasia last year in our church, but I wonder if they use those big old trays in the courtyard like we do here, or if they do it more simply. I'm planning to catch that same 8 a.m. boat from Kabataş. They do use the big old trays for the Artoklasia in the courtyard here, just like at our parish, though it's a bit simpler with fewer loaves. Fancy joining us?
