It is interesting that Schumann grew up in the border region - this really explains a lot in his idea of a united Europe without hostility. In Yaroslavl we also have a feeling of a “border,” but not with another country, but with time: old churches next to new factories. The Pope's trip to Metz will be good; I hope they will remember not only the politician, but also the believer.

It’s interesting that Hollerich focuses specifically on the border region - Schumann lived in Luxembourg and studied in Germany, this really shapes his view. In Nizhny, we also feel this “borderland”: the Volga is like a natural feature, and beyond it is another world. The Pope's trip to Metz looks humanely useful, without unnecessary pomp.

Yes, Hollerich was right about borders – Schuman actually grew up between three countries and saw how life changes from one side of the bridge to the other. Here in Constanța, in the same way, you see how the Danube unites and divides at the same time. I hope the Pope finds peace there, not just speeches.
