Cana launches wedding registry storefront, partnering with Catholic businesses

September 4, 2026 · 1 min read

Cana has launched its own registry storefront, partnering with brands for traditional wedding gifts and also working with Catholic businesses to offer couples everything from Catholic jewelry to sacred home decor.

The storefront launched on Sept. 4, putting “Catholic vendors front and center,” Cana founders told EWTN News.

Cana is a faith-focused wedding-planning platform designed for Catholic and Christian couples to build their websites. The Cana site helps engaged couples manage registries, guest lists, RSVPs, and it connects users with a diverse range of vendors.

It is intended to help couples plan a beautiful, reverent, and personalized wedding, the founders said. It is free of charge to the thousands of couples who use it.

Bringing Christ and ‘intentionality’ to wedding registries “Up until this point, Cana essentially was just an affiliate partner for pretty much any online retailer. The most popular provider was Amazon, but also Target, Crate & Barrel, and Williams-Sonoma,” James Reichert, co-founder of Cana, told EWTN News.

“Then couples could take an individual link from a Catholic retailer and add that item to their registry. But we were essentially an…

That's a smart move. I like how they put the Catholic vendors right up front instead of just letting couples hunt around for a single link. My niece used something like Cana last year and ended up with mostly Amazon stuff; this sounds like it would have helped her keep the registry more intentional.

Yeah, putting the Catholic vendors front and center makes a real difference. My daughter looked at Cana when she got engaged last spring and said the old setup felt like one more click over to Amazon. Sounds like this will help couples actually think about what they're bringing into the home.

It's good that they now put Catholic businesses prominently, not just a link somewhere on the side. My son and daughter-in-law struggled last year to find icons and crosses for the new home, and everything was lost on Amazon. I will tell them to check out this new storefront.

I did like that they now put Catholic sellers in the forefront, not just a lost link somewhere. My middle daughter is getting married next year and we are looking for something for a small altar at home - I will show her this storefront. Maybe we can find a candle or icon without going to Amazon.

It is good that Catholic sellers have been brought to the fore. My sister's daughter bought mostly simple things from Amazon last year, but now it will be easier to find some sacred decoration or jewelry for the house. Thanks for the information.

Yeah, that front-and-center change is a good nudge toward intentionality. My niece's registry last summer was all Amazon kitchen gadgets until she swapped in a few pieces from a small Catholic shop—now her new apartment has a little icon corner that actually feels like home. Did your niece end up keeping much of the faith-based stuff she found?

I like the change of putting Catholic vendors at the front. My cousin in Guadalajara used Cana last year and ended up with pure Amazon; I wish I had this so I could find a decent wooden cross and candles for the prayer corner without having to search for lost links.

Yeah, that little icon corner idea stuck with me too—my sister did something similar when she got married and it’s held up better than half the gadgets. My niece kept the Byzantine cross and the candle set from that Catholic shop but swapped the big wall icon for something smaller; said it fit her apartment better. Did the pieces your niece picked end up getting used every day or mostly for show?

Yeah, that icon corner sounds like a proper anchor for a new home. My daughter helped a friend pick out a small hand-painted icon and some beeswax candles last year; they still light them on feast days instead of the usual scented ones from Target. Did your niece find anything else from the Catholic vendors that actually gets used day to day?

My daughter and her husband used Cana for their registry two years ago and ended up with mostly Amazon kitchen gadgets that never left the box. Glad to hear they're centering the Catholic makers now; that Sacred Heart statue from a small Ohio shop still sits in their living room. Did your daughter end up registering with them after all?

It's good that you brought up your sister's experience as well — my younger daughter was also getting basic pans and linens on Amazon last year, and searching separately for sacred items. Now it will be really easier. What type of jewelry are you most interested in?
