GRASS LAKE, MI – August 1, 2026 – Camp Vatra Junior 2026 Concludes with Hierarchical Divine Liturgy

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy at the Hierarchical Chapel of the Nativity of the Birthgiver of God at Vatra Românească in Grass Lake, Michigan, marking the conclusion of Camp Vatra Junior 2026.

Assisting His Eminence at the Holy and Divine Liturgy were the Rev. Fr. Tiberiu Opriș of St. Thomas the Apostle Romanian Orthodox Church in St. Louis, Missouri, the Rev. Fr. Spyridon Ickes of Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and the Rev. Hierodeacon Benedict Oancea.

The Divine Liturgy brought to a close two weeks of prayer, learning, fellowship, and recreation for the campers who participated in this year’s junior camp. Following the services, campers, counselors, staff, volunteers, and parents gathered for the traditional closing agape meal.
