Broadview Heights Parish Participates in “Back to School Backpack Program”

BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OH [DOM] – On Sunday, August 9 th , Archangel Michael Church blessed and assembled backpacks and school supplies for underprivileged children as part of FOCUS’ “Back to School Backpack Program.” The worthwhile cause was spearheaded by our parish “R” Club chapter which raised over $2,000 for the project.

Following the blessing which took place near the end of the Divine Liturgy, children of the parish helped to fill each backpack with the assorted educational supplies complete with handmade notes offering encouragement for the upcoming school year.

The children learned the value of caring, sharing, and kindness towards others, especially those less fortunate than themselves.
