Divine Liturgy on the day of memory of St. Theodosius of Chernigovtranslated

On September 22, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of St. Theodosius of Chernigov, an archpastor of the 17th century, who dedicated his service to strengthening the Orthodox faith and spiritual enlightenment. He took care of monasteries and churches, supported the education of the clergy, and with his pastoral service gained deep veneration among believers.

On the day of memory of the saint, on the after-feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the day of memory of the holy righteous Godfather Joachim and Anna, His Eminence Stephen, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of the Church of St. Theodosius of Chernigov in the village of Novaya Buda.

Concelebrating with His Eminence was the dean of the Gomel district, Archpriest Artemy Krivitsky, the rector of the parish, Priest Vitaly Meshkov, and the clergy of the Gomel diocese.

During the Divine Liturgy, intense prayer requests for the restoration of the world were offered.

Addressing the clergy and parishioners, Archbishop Stefan congratulated those gathered on their patronal feast day, and the communicants on their reception of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
