Divine Liturgy on the Feast Day of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Augustovskaya"translated

The Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Augustovskaya," which the Church venerates on September 14, was painted in memory of the appearance of the Most Pure Mother of God to Russian soldiers during World War I. The Divine Liturgy on the feast day of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Augustovskaya," September 14, 2026, was celebrated by the Very Reverend Stefan, Archbishop of Homel and Zhlobin, in the church of St. Manaphy of Homel in Severuki village.

Archbishop Stefan was assisted by the secretary of the Homel eparchy, Protopresbyter George Alampiev; the dean of the Homel district, Protopresbyter Artemy Krivitsky; and the priest-in-charge, Presbyter Vitaly Partii, along with the clergy of the eparchy.

After the Supplicatory Prayer, Archbishop Stefan raised a prayer for the granting of peace.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, a blessing was offered to the icons of the Augustovskaya Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos and prayers were said in celebration of the Church New Year.

Following the service, the archbishop congratulated the communicants on receiving the Holy Mysteries and addressed the worshippers with an archpastoral word.
