I always mix up the exact date for the Beheading of John the Baptist, so good to see it's landing on a Sunday in 2026. We usually bring kolivo to the youth group that week and skip meat like the article says. Anyone else planning to go to the evening service?

My husband always forgets it's a strict fast day and reaches for the sausage first thing, so I end up reminding him the night before. We'll definitely be at the evening service if our little guy doesn't have a meltdown by then. Kolivo sounds good, Emily — I might bring some too.
