Hello. She finally broke up with her prodigal partner, but then a fire broke out and destroyed the room with the holy books. Is God taking revenge for refusing to live with the man who should have humbled me?

The fact that you broke up with your prodigal partner is the right, godly decision, even if it was difficult for you. You have stopped sinning, and it may well be that the fire is a consequence of this decision. The enemy of the human race (the devil) cannot stand it when a person turns to God and leaves sin. He will take revenge, frighten, inspire thoughts that “God punished” you so that you return to your old, sinful life or, at least, fall into despondency and despair.

A fire is undoubtedly a grief for a person, but do not look for a sign from the Lord in it. God is not vengeful. This is too small for the One who created this world. The sacred books were lost in the fire, but this is not a disaster. You can buy more of them. The main thing is to realize that you are on the right path and strive to live without sinning.

No person should humble another with sin, especially mortal sin. The result will not be Christian death, but eternal destruction. A person humbles himself before...
