BNR marks 150 years since the birth of Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu with a numismatic issuetranslated

The National Bank of Romania marks 150 years since the birth of Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu with a numismatic issue, which will be launched on Monday.
The obverse of the coin shows a graphic composition inspired by the novel Concert of Music by Bach, alongside the country's coat of arms, the inscription "Romania", the year of issue "2026" and the face value of 10 lei. On the reverse are the portrait of Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu, her name and the years she lived between, 1876–1955.
The coin is made of silver, has a diameter of 37 mm and a weight of 31.103 grams.
Each copy is packed in a transparent methacrylate capsule and is accompanied by a presentation brochure and a certificate of authenticity written in Romanian, English and French, signed by the governor of the National Bank of Romania and the central cashier.
The approved circulation for this numismatic issue is 300 copies, and the selling price is 1,050 lei, VAT included, the presentation brochure and the certificate of authenticity.
