A Ukrainian Armed Forces drone damaged a church in the Tambov regiontranslated

Prikhody.ru 09/07/2026. On the night of September 7, 2026, an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the dome of the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Mashkovo-Surena, Nikiforovsky municipal district (Tambov region).

As a result of the attack, the dome and windows of the bell tower were damaged, as well as the light windows of the drum of the central dome of the church, reports the public of the Michurin diocese on the social network VKontakte.

All relevant services are at the scene of the incident. There were no casualties; all the shrines of the church remained intact.

Thank God no one was hurt and the relics are safe. Those central drum windows must have been a real mess to clean up after. Praying the repairs don't drag on too long before winter hits.

Too bad they knocked the dome and bell windows. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the holy images remained intact, as the article says. I hope they can fix them before the weather closes.

The central drum windows really do sound like a nightmare to sort out, all that glass and debris up high. Our parish had a similar clean-up after a storm a few years back and it took three weekends just to make the scaffolding safe again. Hope the diocese gets the funds sorted quickly.

It's a shame about the central drum and the windows of the bell, you can see that the drone hit right there. I am glad that there were no injuries and that the relics are intact. I hope the diocese gets what it needs to fix it before the real cold hits.
