August is rich in spastranslated

In the Ushachi district library named after E.Ya. Los, as part of the work of the Center for Orthodox Culture, a vernissage of Orthodox traditions “August is Rich in Spas” took place, in which the dean of the Ushachi church district, Priest Alexander Talerenak, took part.
For the event, a thematic book exhibition “August – the Harvest Festival” was organized, which presented publications dedicated to the history and traditions of all three Spas, as well as collections of spiritual poetry.
Library staff told participants about the history and significance of these important holidays for the Orthodox faith and culture. With great interest, those gathered watched a video presentation dedicated to the spiritual meaning of the holiday, the appearance of the divine glory of Christ on Mount Tabor and the traditions of the consecration of fruits.
A special place in the program was occupied by the speech of the rector of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Minodora, Metrodora and Nymphodora, Priest Alexander Talerenok. The priest helped the participants look at folk customs through the prism of deep spiritual meaning, talking about the connection between the names of holidays and the image of the Savior and giving living examples from the church calendar.
