The Archpastor celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the day of the Transfiguration of the Lordtranslated

On August 19, on the day of the great twelfth feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Tiraspol. Concelebrating with the archpastor were Hieromonk John (Traito), Hieromonk Simeon (Lupashko) and Protodeacon Sergius Afteni. On this holiday, the church was filled with numerous believers who came to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ with common prayer and spiritually join in the joy of the holiday. The Gospel event of the Transfiguration reveals to man the secret of the Divine glory of Christ and at the same time points to the destiny of every Christian. On this day, the Church calls on its children not only to remember the gospel event, but also to think about their own spiritual transformation - cleansing the heart from sin, strengthening in faith and striving to live according to Christ’s commandments.
