Bishop's Divine Liturgy on the day of remembrance of the Prophet Elijah in the city of Serovtranslated

On August 2, on the day of remembrance of the holy prophet of God Elijah, a solemn Divine Liturgy took place in the church in honor of the prophet of God Elijah in the city of Serov. The service was led by Bishop Feognost of Serov and Krasnoturinsky.
His Eminence was co-served by the rector of the temple and the dean of the Serov deanery, Priest Victor Garbuz, as well as the clergy of the temple.
Numerous parishioners prayed during the service, who came to honor the memory of the great prophet, who, with his fiery faith and zealous service to God, became an example of firmness in faith and obedience to the will of God.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Theognostus addressed those gathered with the words of a sermon. In his speech, the archpastor recalled the feat of the prophet Elijah - his fearless opposition to idolatry, fervent prayer and complete trust in God even in the most difficult trials. The Bishop emphasized that the example of the prophet teaches us not to be afraid to defend the truth, to remain faithful to the commandments and to always seek the will of God in our lives.
