Archbishop Stefan congratulated the staff of Gymnasium No. 14 of Gomel on its 45th anniversarytranslated

The State Educational Institution “Gymnasium No. 14 of Gomel” celebrated 45 years since its foundation. The ceremonial event dedicated to the anniversary took place on October 2, 2026.

The celebration was attended by His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, Chairman of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Gomel Diocese Archpriest Artemy Krivitsky, Chairman of the Information Department of the Gomel Diocese Archpriest Oleg Kostroma and the clergy of the parish of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Gomel.

Archbishop Stefan congratulated the leadership and teaching staff of the gymnasium on the 45th anniversary of the institution, as well as on Teacher’s Day.

Addressing the teachers, the Bishop noted that the work of a teacher is associated with great responsibility, since it is at school that a child gains knowledge, learns to make decisions, build relationships with people and form his own life guidelines. The archpastor emphasized the importance of the teacher’s personal example, his attitude towards students, his ability to hear the child and support him in a difficult situation.
