Archbishop Stefan visited the pupils of the Gomel Regional Social and Pedagogical Centertranslated

The Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord reminds Christians of the need for spiritual change, mercy, attention to others and active care for those who need help.
On August 19, 2026, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, visited the state educational institution “Gomel Regional Social and Pedagogical Center”.
Currently, there are 25 orphans and children left without parental care in the institution. Adult attention, care and understanding that there are people nearby who are ready to support are especially important for them. During the visit, the bishop talked with the students and staff of the center.
Archbishop Stefan brought grapes, watermelons, peaches, apricots, melons and honey for the children.
Addressing the teachers and staff of the institution, the bishop thanked them for their daily work, patience and care for the children, and wished them strength and God’s help in their service. The archpastor wished the pupils of the center good health and good people nearby.
In turn, representatives of the administration heartily thanked Archbishop Stefan for his attention to the students, the assistance provided and spiritual support.
