Archbishop Stefan attended the parish meeting of the Panteleimon Churchtranslated

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, attended the annual parish meeting of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in the city of Gomel. The flight takes place on the banks of the Sozh River.

The Bishop met with the participants, gave them the archpastoral blessing and brought refreshments. The parishioners prepared a common lunch and shared the meal with the archpastor.

The meeting takes place from July 13 to July 18, 2026 with the blessing of Archbishop Stephen. His motto was the words of the Apostle Peter, spoken during the Transfiguration of the Lord: “It is good for us to be here” (Matthew 17:4).

During the gathering, adults and children pray together, set up a camp, prepare food, relax and communicate. Joint activities help parishioners to get to know each other better, and new members to get acquainted with the life of the parish and feel part of the community.

It's good that Vladyka Stefan also brought sweets for the children. That camp on the edge of the Sozhi seems calm and warm, with prayers together and communal cooking. "It is good to be here" - indeed, this is what it feels like when the people of a parish come together like this.
