Archbishop John met with the head of the Magadan branch of the “Russian Community” Ivan Sokolovtranslated

On July 12, 2026, the Diocesan Administration hosted a working meeting between Archbishop John of Magadan and Sinegorsk and the coordinator of the regional branch of the all-Russian public movement Russian Community, Ivan Sokolov. During the meeting, Ivan Alexandrovich presented in detail to the archpastor the main directions of the organization’s activities, outlining the statutory goals and objectives, the positive results already achieved, as well as long-term development plans. The parties discussed a wide range of issues regarding the possible interaction of the social movement with Magadan diocese. The focus was on the prospects for joint work and specific forms of practical assistance that members of the Russian community are ready to offer in the implementation of socially significant projects.
