It's nice to see that the Greek Archdiocese is helping so practically. A new fire engine is much more useful than just nice speeches. Hopefully it will remain operational for a long time.

Yes, a practical vehicle really saves lives, Helena is right. Last year in our church choir we also collected new hoses for the volunteer fire department in Cologne - that just feels right. Hopefully it will be well maintained and stay in use for a long time.

Yes, I see it that way too, Helena. A fire engine that actually brings water and protects people is tangible help. Two years ago in our church choir we collected new protective clothing for the volunteer fire department - that made at least a few missions safer.

Yes, Stefan, the protective clothing was a really good idea - we collected something similar for new helmets in Hamburg last year, and the firefighters were really happy. Concrete things like this help more than big words. Are you still in contact with the people from the volunteer fire department?

Yes, such practical donations really do come across, I see that again and again here in the store. Last year in Munich, the church choir collected money for the local volunteer fire department, and the boys were happy to receive new gloves.
