The altar of a Romanian church in Italy was consecrated by three hierarchstranslated

The altar of the "Holy Martyr Pelagia" Church of the community of Montecatini Terme, Italy, was consecrated on Saturday by three hierarchs. On this occasion, the place of worship also received two new patrons: "Buna Vestire" and "Sfântul Cuvios Gavriil Georgianul".

The service was officiated by His Grace Father Athanasius, Archbishop of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, together with His Grace Father Siluan, Bishop of Italy, and His Grace Father Maximus the Danubian, Vicar Archbishop of the Diocese of Italy.

Preparation for the consecration began on Friday evening, when Vespers was celebrated and the order of placing the Holy Relics at the foot of the Holy Table. After the Saturday service, the faithful could pass through the Holy Altar and worship before the Holy Table.

The community bought its own place in 2016 The "Holy Martyr Pelaghia" parish was established in 2013 and is pastored by Father Matei-Ioan Tulan.
