Basilica News Agency launches a new visual identity and a rebuilt websitetranslated

The Basilica News Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate is launching today, September 1 — along with the Church New Year — a new visual identity and a completely rebuilt version of the Basilica.ro website, the first major interface change since the last redesign in 2016.
The chosen moment anticipates an important milestone: in 2027, the Basilica Press Center and the Basilica News Agency celebrate 20 years since their establishment.
The previous layout retained the imprint of a blog — a dominant column, a linear timeline, a limited editorial hierarchy.
The new site adopts an architecture specific to a press agency: a main page organized by categories (patriarchal, diocesan, external, social), with the content presented unitarily, in informational cards, and with distinct reading paths — a hero zone for the news of the day, the news flow for real-time information, thematic sections for in-depth reading.
Press releases are treated visually separately from editorial content, so that the reader can clearly distinguish between official communication and the Agency's journalistic output.
