The prayer for preserving God's creation caught my eye too—our little church garden here in Boston is basically done for the season now that the nights are getting cold. As for Hieromonk Macarius (Markish), I think he's the one who used to serve at St. Vladimir's in New York before moving; he's written a few good articles on the saints that our book group read last winter. Nice to see his name pop up.
