On July 4, on the day of remembrance of the holy noble prince Theodore of Starodubsky, Bishop John of Shuisky and Teikovsky celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the temple complex of the village of Aleksino, Savinsky deanery.
It includes the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Church of the Righteous Saints Joachim and Anna.
Concelebrating with the Bishop were: the dean of the churches of the Savinsky district, priest Andrei Lykov; rector of the Church of St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Miliki in the village of Ascension, priest Vladimir Larionov and rector of the Znamensky parish in the village of Yakovlevo, priest Mikhail Lomov, deacon Mikhail Egorov, cleric of the Nikolo-Vladimir parish in the village of Filyandino and deacon Alexander Volov, cleric of the Resurrection Cathedral.
Present at the service were: Head of the Savinsky municipal district Irina Mikhailovna Sayakina, as well as Deputy Head of the Savinsky municipal district Svetlana Nailievna Zhelobanova.
At the end of the service, Bishop John addressed the worshipers with a word of archpastoral edification, the main idea of which was the commemoration of the feat of the blessed Prince Theodore of Starodubsky.
