On August 1, on the day of remembrance of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the chairman of the Missionary Department of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese, Priest John Lvov, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the ruined church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious in the village of Yegoriy, Ivanovo region. After the Liturgy, a festive meal was organized. The temple in honor of the Great Martyr George the Victorious was built in 1814. Lieutenant General E.I. Vlastov, hero of the Patriotic War of 1812, was buried near the altar.
