Juraj Horváth There is a nice view. The church is dedicated to Saint Varlaam, who lived as a hermit in the 14th century.
Георги Петров The place looks good. Is it now open for visitors and what time do services start there?
Gabriela Rusu The monastery looks impressive on that rock. Does anyone know if it is open to visitors now and what time services start?
Анна Зайцева The monastery is named after St. Varlaam, who lived as a hermit in the 14th century.
Interestingly, it is still operational, although tourists are only allowed in at certain hours.
ქეთევან კაპანაძე But they still don't write what time the mass starts.
Христо Василев I can see how the bricks on the wall are lined up pretty evenly, even from this height they look solid. Services there start at 6am last I heard.
Marie Černá Thanks for the photo. According to what Chisto writes, they start at six, but I don't know if it applies all year round.
Krzysztof Kowalski I also wonder if these service hours are constant throughout the year. How to get there from Kalambaka, by bus or just taxi?
ვახტანგ დოლიძე If the mass starts at 6 o'clock, then what is the guest rule? Can you check in in the afternoon or do you have to arrive early in the morning?
