Metropolitan Nikola of the Macedonian Orthodox Church served the Divine Liturgy at the parish in Mill Park, drawing local faithful together for the feast of Venerable Paraskeva. In the same week the diocese also marked a formal meeting between the Metropolitan and Ambassador Stojanče Kitanoski, underlining quiet ties between church and civic life. Elsewhere the Romanian Orthodox Church heard Patriarch Daniel remind pilgrims that Christ grants peace to all who labor. The Bulgarian Orthodox Church saw the new chapel of St Demetrius consecrated in the village of Dobrovo near Boboshevo, while the Serbian Orthodox Church reported Bishop Dimitrije celebrating Liturgy in Metković with a full parish turnout. These ordinary services and openings continue week after week across continents. May the parishes of the Macedonian, Romanian, Bulgarian, and Serbian Churches be granted strength and quiet joy in the days ahead.
A Romanian bishop blessed a new pastoral center in Moldova this week, giving local clergy fresh space for youth work and spiritual counseling. The modest building stands in a village that already draws people for its ties to older saints, showing how everyday needs keep shaping church life there. In Bulgaria the chapel of St. Dimitar in Dobrovo was consecrated, while Metropolitan Arseny handed a church award to a public figure. The Church of Greece held Great Vespers for St. Demetrios in Edipsos, and the Orthodox Church in America saw Metropolitan Tikhon lead services honoring St. Olga of Alaska at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington. Each diocese turned ordinary days into moments of quiet order and shared prayer. How has a recent blessing or new building changed the rhythm in your own parish?
Metropolitan Nikola of the Macedonian Orthodox Church served the Divine Liturgy yesterday at the parish in Mill Park, Australia, marking the feast of Saint Paraskeva. In Odesa the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated the throne feast of the Iver monastery and consecrated a new house church. Archbishop Hieronymos of the Church of Greece presided at the Dormition Monastery in Panorama, while the Bulgarian Orthodox Church held an archierarchical vespers for Saint Paraskeva in Sofia. The Romanian Orthodox Church recalled Saint Hyacinth, Metropolitan of Wallachia, and the protection offered by the Holy Martyr Nestor to the Bishop of Deva and Hunedoara. These separate gatherings show how the same saints draw people together across continents on the same calendar day.
