Первое Кафолическое Послание св. Апостола Иоанна

1) What was from the beginning, what we heard, what we saw with our eyes, what we looked at, and what our hands touched, about the Word of life, 2) and life was revealed, and we saw, and we testify, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us, 3) what we saw and heard, [these] we proclaim to you, so that you also may have community with us: and let our community be with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. 4) And we write this to you so that you may rejoice and your joy may be full. 5) And this is the message that we have heard from Him and proclaim to you: “For God is light, and in Him there is no darkness.” 6) If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, [then] we lie and do not create the truth. 7) If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, [then] we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity. 10) If we say that we have not sinned, then we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 1) My children! I write this to you so that you will not sin; and if anyone sins, then we have a Defender before the Father - Jesus Christ, the Righteous; 2) and He is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but even for the whole world. 3) And through this we know that we have come to know Him if we keep His commandments. 4) Whoever says about himself that he knows Him, but does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and there is no truth in him. 5) Whoever keeps His word, in him is truly the love of God perfected: and through this we know that we are in Him. 6) Whoever says of himself that he abides in Him, as He walked, so must he walk. 7) Beloved! I am not writing you a new commandment, but an ancient commandment which you had from the beginning. The ancient commandment is the word that you have heard. 8) Again I write to you a new commandment, which is true both in Him and in you: for the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. 9) He who says of himself that he is in the light, but hates his brother, is still in darkness. 10) He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no temptation in him. 11) He who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, for the darkness has blinded his eyes. 12) I am writing to you, children, because your sins have been forgiven for His name’s sake. 13) I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young people, because you have overcome the evil one. 14) I am writing to you, children, because you have come to know the Father. I am writing to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 15) Do not love the world, nor what is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love is not in him. 16) For all that is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not from the Father, but from the world. 17) And the world passes away, and its lust, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. 18) Kids! Last hour. And as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and now many antichrists have appeared; hence we know that it is the last hour. 19) They came out from us, but were not from us; for if they had been from among us, they would undoubtedly have remained with us: but [they went out] so that it would be revealed that they were not all ours. 20) However, you have anointing from the Holy One and know everything. 21) I did not write to you as if you were supposedly ignorant of the truth, but as if you knew it, and that every lie is not from the truth. 22) Who is a liar if not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23) Anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either; кто исповедует Сына, имеет и Отца. 24) Let that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you; If that which you have heard from the beginning abide in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25) And this is the promise that He promised us, eternal life. 26) I wrote this to you about those who deceive you. 27) And as for you, let the anointing which you received from Him abide in you. And you do not need anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, it is true and not a lie. And as I have taught you, continue in this. 28) And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be put to shame by Him at His coming. 29) If you know that He is righteous, know also that everyone who does righteousness is born of Him. 1) See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called and be children of God. For this reason the world does not know us because it has not known Him. 2) Beloved! We are now children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we will be. We know that when it is revealed, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is. 3) And everyone who has this hope in Him sanctifies himself [as] He is holy. 4) Everyone who commits sin also commits iniquity; and sin is lawlessness. 5) And you know that He appeared to take away our sins, and [that] there is no sin in Him. 6) No one who abides in Him sins; and everyone who sins has not seen Him or known Him. 7) Kids! Let no one deceive you. He who does righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8) Whoever commits sin is of the devil, because the devil sinned first. This is why the Son of God appeared, to destroy the works of the devil. 9) Whoever is born of God commits no sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10) In this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: everyone who is not righteous is not from God, and who does not love his brother. 11) For this is the gospel which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12) Not like Cain, who was of the evil one and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous. 13) Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you. 14) We know that we were transferred from death to life because we love our brothers. He who does not love remains in death; 15) Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within himself. 16) In this we know the love of God, that He laid down His life for us: and we must lay down our lives for our brothers. 17) Whoever has the goods of this world, and sees his brother who has need, and shuts up his inward parts against him, how does the love of God abid in him? 18) My children! Let us love not in word or tongue, but in deed and in truth: 19) in this we will know that we are of the truth, and we will calm our hearts before His gaze. 20) For if our heart condemns us, [then] God is greater than our heart and knows everything. 21) Beloved! Если сердце наше не осуждает нас, то мы имеем уверенность пред Богом, 22) и, чего ни попросим, получим от Него, потому что соблюдаем заповеди Его и то, что благоугодно пред Ним, делаем.23) И сия есть заповедь Его, да веруем во имя Сына Его Иисуса Христа и да любим друг друга, как Он заповедал нам. 24) And whoever keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, according to the Spirit whom He gave us. 1) Beloved! Believe not every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2) In this the Spirit of God is known: every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ who has come in the flesh is from God; 3) and every spirit that “separates” Jesus is not from God, and this is the Antichrist, about whom you heard that he would come and now he is already in the world. 4) You are from God, children, and you defeated them; for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 5) They are from the world, that’s why they speak in a worldly way, and the world listens to them. 6) We are from God. He who knows God listens to us; He who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7) Beloved! Let us love each other, because love comes from God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8) He who does not love has not known God, because God is love. 9) In this the love of God for us was revealed, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we could live through Him. 10) This is love, that it is not we who supposedly loved God, but that He first loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11) Beloved! If God loved us so much, then we should love each other. 12) No one has ever seen God. If we love each other, then God abides in us, and His love is perfect in us. 13) By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, which He has given us of His Spirit. 14) And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15) Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16) And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17) In this is the perfection of God’s love with us, that we have confidence in the day of judgment, for as He is, so are we in this world. 18) There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because in fear there is torment; he who fears is not perfect in love. 19) Let us therefore love God, because God first loved us. 20) If someone said: “After all, I love God,” and hated his brother, [he] is a liar. For whoever does not love his brother whom he sees; How can he love God, whom he does not see? 21) And we have this commandment from God, that whoever loves God should also love his brother. 1) Anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begat him also loves him who is born of Him. 2) From this we learn that we love those born of God when we love God and keep His commandments. 3) For this is love for God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not grievous. 4) For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. 5) Who is he who has overcome the world, if not he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 6) This is Jesus Christ who came by water and blood: not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit is the One who testifies that Christ is the truth. 7) For there are three of them who give testimony in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8) And there are three of them who give testimony on earth: the spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three are one. 9) If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for it is the testimony of God, which is greater, for He testified of His Son. 10) Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony of God in himself. He who does not believe the Son makes Him a liar, because he does not believe in the testimony with which God testified about His Son. 11) And this testimony is that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12) He who has the Son [of God] has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life. 13) I have written these things to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God. 14) And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that whatever we ask, according to His will, He listens to us. 15) And we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have requests, [fulfillment] of which we have been granted from Him. 16) Whoever sees his brother sinning a sin that does not lead to death, let him ask, and God will give life to him (whoever sins a sin that does not lead to death). There is a sin leading to death: I’m not talking about anyone praying. 17) All untruth is sin; and there is sin leading to death. 18) We know that everyone born of God does not sin; but being born from God preserves it, and the evil one does not touch it. 19) We know that we are from God; and that the whole world lies in evil. 20) And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us the feeling that we may know the true God, and that we may be in His true Son. This is the true God and eternal life. 21) Kids! Keep yourself from idols. Amen.
