Hebrews 6:1. But now, having left the beginning of Christ’s words, which you received as milk (for hitherto you were not willing to be made perfect in it, since you did not refrain from fulfilling the law of Moses, so that your weakness forced even your teachers to be weak along with you (Gal. 2:11, 1 Cor. 9:20-22, Acts 16:3), - now hasten let's strive for perfection, which is proclaimed in the New Testament. There is no longer any need to proclaim to you again the faith that we once proclaimed to you - and to descend to which you once accepted, not to priests which you have already received, nor preach to you or eternal life already proclaimed to you. Hebrews 6:3. If... God allows... let's do... this secondly: but He does not allow weakness to do this. Hebrews 6:4. For it is impossible for those who have once been baptized to taste this heavenly gift. through the medicine they took, and... became partakers of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of the Spirit they have received, Hebrews 6:5. and the firstfruits of the good Word of God... have you tasted armed, obviously in the promise prepared for the righteous - and now if they Hebrews 6:6. fell [sinned] again, for those who introduce two baptisms allow the (second) crucifixion of the Son of God and His reproach, while the crucifixion was accomplished once and will not be repeated again, and the baptism of justification has already been given, and again the second time is not given to the sinner. I cited the following parable as an example in my speech. Just as there is one rain on cultivated land and on uncultivated land, and the cultivated land bears fruit useful for those “from whom it is cultivated,” and after the fruit “receives a blessing” (Heb. 6:7), produces thorns and thistles, turns out to be worthless and subject to a curse, its end is burning: so those who have accepted cleansing in baptism and received a living body, if they keep what they have received, they will receive a blessing, that is, the gifts of promises, and those who, after the cleansing of sins and communion with the Holy Spirit, again turn in evil deeds, called thorns and thistles, since there is no second baptism that can be cleansing for them, will ultimately be burned. After the Apostle expressed this, frightening them so that they would not sin and have no need for (new) cleansing, he now turns to strengthening them: if, he says, there is no other baptism for (secondary) cleansing of you, then let your deeds and your love be a constant baptism for you. Hebrews 6:9. Although, - he says, - so... we say and we close the door of mercy against the righteous so that they do not sin, but for those who repent the door of mercy is open. Hebrews 6:10. For God is not unjust to forget your work, which you have for the poor saints who are in Jerusalem. Hebrews 6:11–12. But we want each of you to show zeal yours before your neighbors, not so that you can make a show of yourself before your neighbors, but so that your strength may be proclaimed, because you are waiting for perfect hope. And don’t let yourself be weak until the end according to your mind, falling into sin, due to the length of time, but you become were guided, not yet having a law foretelling them about the future, but they themselves chose it according to their own understanding - and through long-suffering, which was greater than yours, they became heirs of this promise that was given to you. Your longsuffering lasts seventy or eighty years, but theirs lasts a hundred and seventy years. Hebrews 6:13. For in giving Abraham a promise... God, since there was nothing else greater than He could swear, for Abraham's sacrifice, I swear by myself, says the Lord, that your barrenness (Gen. 22:16–17). Hebrews 6:15. And so he endured for a hundred years and received his promise. and God condescended to swear before them by Himself, which is why this oath turns out to be firm. Hebrews 6:17. God wanted... to show the heirs of the promise, that His promise, because of His oath, is unchangeable. that is, between God, and the Angel, and Abraham. Hebrews 6:18. Through two things I am immutable, in which it is impossible... to lie... to God - one thing that He swore by Himself, - David said about another: “The Lord has sworn, and will not repent, that You are a priest forever in the likeness of Melchizedek” (Ps. 109:4), - to us, who have become heirs of this promise, to strengthen ourselves, not to the justice of God, that is, not like the previous ones, but turned to the very mercy of God and with all diligence, let us firmly remain in this, so that he would remove and lead us out of the midst of the evils of this age and open the way for us Hebrews 6:19. in the inner... veils [behind the veil]. Not into the Holy of Holies, where Moses entered, but into the inner place behind the veil in heaven, Jesus Christ entered and became...a Priest forever, - not to perform sacrifices, like Aaron, but to exalt the prayer of all nations, like Melchizedek.
