Gal.2:1. But so that you know that if the Apostles themselves had come to the pagans, they would have preached the same sermon that I preach, I will tell you this: Gal.2:11. when... Cephas came to Antioch, the very head of the Apostles and the foundation of the Church, I dared (then) to denounce him - not because he himself deserved to be denounced - but because... And it was not he (Peter) alone who did this, but the Jews who became disciples in Antioch, who had not previously been hypocrites like Simon, began to be hypocrites along with Simon. So even Barnabas, who was from the Gentiles, was forced for the sake of Simon to distinguish between the kinds of food of the Jews (Gal. 2:13). Gal.2:14. But when I saw that they were not going straight to the truth of the Gospel, - since they were both pagans and Jews, followers of Christ and the law, - and Simon was afraid to say anything to them, so as not to tempt them - then - for it was not he himself who was unsteady in anything, but for the sake of those who were unsteady, of necessity he was forced to do this. So in his presence I said to those of the circumcision: if you... were a Jew... being... pagan... lived yesterday, then how do you force today, – to make pagans... Jews? Gal.2:15. But we are by nature Jews, Gal.2:16. Have you learned that... a person is not justified by the works of the law except through faith in Jesus Christ, and therefore we left the law and... believed in... Jesus... Christ, that we might be justified by faith [by faith], and not by works [by the works] of the law, for by the law [by the law] no one can be justified, because he cannot fulfill it. Gal.2:17–18. If we, seeking justification [to be justified] in Christ,... find ourselves... sinners, because some provisions of the law are not fulfilled: then is Jesus Christ... of sin... a servant was, because He abolished the commandments, which condemned those who violated them? It won't happen. After all [for] if what I destroyed... I (and so he did) until now, from this day and then I imagine myself as a transgressor of the commandment, for I return to the observance of what I have not completely destroyed. the law died that God might live. no longer the same as before, according to the law, but... by the faith of the Son of God... I live. Gal.2:21. I do not reject the grace of God, which was given to me through the Cross; for if through the law... truth, as you say, then therefore in vain... Christ... died.
