Hold fast to the Holy Church of God and all its institutions, and the power of God, which contributes to all good, will always be inherent in you. Just always remember that these illuminating and life-giving institutions are means, not ends; Therefore, go through them only in order to revive and nourish the grace-filled forces hidden in you under their influence, and then go out to do your work as a strong man, ready for every good deed (cf. 2 Tim. 3:17). From unjust zealots of piety, the very system of pious life is criticized: but this does not take away the significance of this system and does not justify speculators who are alien to it on this basis alone.
