(1 Cor. 3, 18–23; Matt. 13, 36–43) “And they will throw them (those who create temptations and iniquities *12) into the fiery furnace; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth; then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father” (Matthew 13:41). This will complete the separation of good and evil, light and darkness. Now the period of their mixing is flowing. The Lord was pleased to arrange it in such a way that created freedom would increase and become stronger in goodness through the fight against evil; evil is allowed both in contiguity with freedom inside and in contact with man outside. It does not define, but tempts. Those who feel temptation need not to fall, but to fight. The one who overcomes is freed from one temptation and moves forward and upward to enter into a new temptation. So until the very end of life. Oh, when would we understand this meaning of the evil that tempts us, so that according to this understanding we can arrange our lives! The fighters are crowned, finally, moving into another life, where there is no sorrow or illness on the outside and where they, like the angels of God, become pure inside without being attacked by tempting movements and thoughts. This is how the triumph of light and goodness is prepared, which will be revealed in all its glory on the last day of the world.
