Honorary citizen Mikhail Nikolaevich Troitsky writes that in November 1910 he developed a severe headache, for which there was no relief from medical care. “Once, before going to bed, on the day of communion of the Holy Mysteries,” writes M. Troitsky, “I said: “Lord, will I really have to suffer this night as well as the previous ones?” And I remembered the miraculous healings through the prayers of Father Father John, known to me from books and newspapers even at the time when Father was alive. I earnestly began to ask: “Father, Father John, pray to the Lord God to heal me from a severe illness.” Before I had time to say these words, I suddenly felt that the right side of my head had become completely healthy. I immediately informed my wife about this healing, although the painful condition in the other half of my head did not stop. Before going to bed, at evening prayer, I again asked the priest for complete healing, after which the left half of my head also became healthy. I attribute this healing entirely to the miraculous power of Father John as a saint of God. Soon after the healing, I intended to report this to the Ioannovsky Monastery, but something distracted me... In 1911, also in the month of November, another unbearable pain befell me - a hernia in the left groin, from which I suffered greatly, and could not get relief from medical help. Again I asked Father John for healing and also received immediate help, which surprised even our priest who communed me. After this healing, I immediately wanted to inform the monastery about this gracious help through the prayers of the priest, but something also stopped me... In April 1912, my hernia appeared again; I am suffering even now, and I attribute this to my silence about the miraculous power of Father John, shown to me twice already. Therefore, without delaying further, I decided to inform the monastery of all of the above, and I humbly ask you to report this to the Holy Synod.” So wrote Mr. Troitsky on April 28, 1911. From this statement it was clear that Mr. Trinity’s second illness had resumed for him, which is why this message was not included in the book of healings at the Ioannovsky Monastery at the same time. After some time, on behalf of the abbess of the Ioannovsky Monastery, a request was sent to Troitsky about the state of his health. Mr. Troitsky answered this question on November 17, 1913: “Today I received a letter from the monastery, dated November 6th; it asks how am I currently feeling? I most respectfully have to inform the monastery that I, M. N. Troitsky, currently, through the prayers of Father John, feel completely healthy, despite the fact that I am 74 years old.
