Nun Natalya Kerensky of the Tikhvin convent (Penza province) reports about herself how, through the prayers of her dear priest, she received a grace-filled healing from her serious illness. “In early September 1908, at about 12 noon, I developed a strong fever. Then I fell into unconsciousness and started vomiting. After this fateful night, when I came to my senses, I began to feel nervous breakdown, inexpressible melancholy, lack of sleep, loss of appetite and weakness in all members of the body; In this form, my illness continued until January 12th of this year. During this time, I was treated by many doctors, took all kinds of measures to relieve myself, but nothing helped me, and I reached such a desperate state that I was expecting death every minute. On January 12th, our nun arrived from St. Petersburg, who was in the Ioannovsky Monastery with her mother abbess, and... Having learned about my illness, she advised me to turn to Father John of Kronstadt for help, remember him in prayer, and gave me oil from his tomb. I rubbed it on the sore spots and began to drink a little.
