Исцеление жены полковника Ивановой и 8-летнего ее сына

“In 1895, we temporarily lived in Oranienbaum, since my husband, captain of the 318th Maikan Infantry Battalion, Ivanov, was in the rotating staff of the officer rifle school. At this time, my 8-year-old son Boris fell ill with a hernia. My husband and I took him to the Oldenburgsky clinic, and there, after examining him, the doctors decided: either to have an operation or to wear a bandage. We bought a bandage and the boy started wearing it. Suffering for the child, since the bandage caused pain and prevented me from walking freely, I decided to turn to God for help through the priest, Fr. John of Kronstadt. Having learned that on August 26 he would serve a prayer service in the house of a local merchant, my husband and son Boris and I went to that house and, when before the prayer service I turned to the priest with a request to heal my son’s illness, Father John said: “He will be healthy, don’t worry, now let’s pray.” We all prayed with faith in God's help, and in the evening of the same day I removed the bandage from my son, after which the hernia disappeared and has not returned to this day. Boris is now a 25-year-old man, married, and feels completely healthy. I cannot pass over in silence that, having suffered from severe headaches since March 1911. until January 1912, after which all medical remedies were tried, I received healing by serving a memorial service over the tomb of my father, Father John of Kronstadt, and anointing my head with oil from the lamp above the tomb. Wife of Colonel of the 88th Petrovsky Infantry Regiment Olga Vikentievna Ivanova. S. Gruzino, Novgorod province" (Written based on an original letter kept in the monastery).
